KS1 and KS2 Teacher

I have previously worked with as a Saturday school teacher, with a programme funded by the local authority to help children on local estates in Brixton.

I have taught in many schools across London and have found this to be an invaluable experience as i have been able to take a focused look at my teaching practice and use this to enhance my own teaching practice. I love teaching as i love the discussion that comes from the children when they find a topic interesting and exciting. Teaching allows me to bring children into a world (topic) in which they may not have ever encountered, exposing them to something new to widen their experiences.

Children from the black community are not always represented outside of school, so I want to show them representation in school. I want to show them there is more to you then just the colour of your skin because you are wonderful, driven and knowledgeable and with all these attributes you are as capable as anyone else.

I am based in South London.
