Heather Joy Sharon
KS1 and EYFS Teacher
I am a passionate educator who thrives on teaching children to read and write competently.. I love when you see children achieve the rewards from overcoming obstacles to thrive.
I tutored children 1:1 and in small groups for 3 years in the Caribbean. I am currently tutoring online.
I have held QTS since 2004.I have a passion for teaching the skills necessary for students to be able to read competently, and express themselves in writing. Reading lays the foundations for learning and is a skill that stands to improve the quality of your life. I want everyone to have access to the potential that this vital skill can provide.
I taught for 4 years in Westminster and then
five years in Brent, thereafter I have worked in Luton, Qatar and Barbados.
I think it's a privilege to be able to get into the world of a child to really upskill them not just academically but holistically, understanding what makes them thrive and supporting them as they take on new concepts, ideas and basically think.
I have just completed a middle leadership post where I was the Early Years Lead and PSHE coordinator. I have also held other Middle Management posts as a year group leader and subject coordinator for Art.
Reading is a vital skill that has the potential to transform your life chances. It's every child's right. I want children to have access to the pleasure, knowledge, wisdom accessible from reading. In addition the ability to communicate your ideas both orally and in writing is imperative. I take great pleasure in students learning the skills necessary to gain access to the wealth of knowledge that becomes available from these key skills.
I am willing to travel within North London and North West London including the boroughs Barner, Brent and Camden.
I can be quite flexible and will consider other areas in London upon request.
