I have held QTS for the last 6 years. Since then, I have taught English Literature texts from the 19th, 20th, and 21st centuries; including poetry from the English Heritage. I also teach English Language, which includes reading, writing, and oral based skills for both KS3 and KS4 students.

During my career, I have taught in schools with varied demographics. This has mainly been in North and East London.

I love teaching because I realised that being an educator is just as important as being a student. I also love to learn myself, and it's important that in order to provide a good education, I must also be willing to learn and better my skills, so that I, in turn, can give students the best possible start in life.

I have been Head of KS3, which led to a role as Head of KS4 & Second in Department. Both roles have taught me the importance of good leadership, as well as commitment, dedication, and a drive to DO, and BE better for our future generations.

Tutoring Black children is important to me because I am aware that there are not enough role models for our own children within the education sector; and unfortunately, without the correct grounding and support from a young age, it is all too easy for our kings and queens to become lost in the system, and become part of the negative statistics that this country so regularly place us in.

I solely tutor within the North London area. Specifically, Enfield, Barnet, and Haringey.
